Overview

Baby Tracker & Newborn Log ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information you choose to store in the app is handled.

The short version: We do not collect your baby tracking data. Your data stays on your devices and, when you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account.

Developer Data Collection

We do not collect, access, sell, or share your baby tracking data. The app does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

Apple may process limited information needed to provide App Store purchases, iCloud, crash reporting, or App Analytics according to Apple's own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your baby tracking records from Apple.

Information You Store in the App

Data You Provide

When you use Baby Tracker & Newborn Log, you may provide:

  • Baby profiles: Name, date of birth, gender, and optional photos
  • Activity logs: Feeding times, sleep sessions, diaper changes, growth measurements, and milestones
  • Health data: Medicine/vitamin tracking, doctor appointments, and health records
  • Photos: Images you add to the photo gallery or milestones
  • Notes: Any additional notes you add to activities
  • iCloud status: If you use iCloud sync, Apple authenticates sync through your Apple ID

How the App Uses Your Information

Your data is processed on your device to:

  • Provide the core functionality of tracking your baby's activities
  • Sync data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
  • Generate insights and statistics for you
  • Send notifications you've configured (feeding reminders, etc.)
  • Improve app performance and fix bugs

Data Storage & Security

On-Device Storage

All your baby's data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. The data is encrypted at rest when your device is locked.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Stored in your private iCloud container
  • Accessible through your Apple ID and iCloud account
  • Subject to Apple's privacy policies and security measures

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Services

Baby Tracker & Newborn Log uses Apple services to provide app functionality:

  • Apple iCloud: For optional data sync across devices
  • Apple StoreKit: For in-app purchases and subscriptions

We do not use any third-party advertising networks or sell data to data brokers.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You can:

  • Delete individual records at any time
  • Delete baby profiles and all associated data
  • Export your data before deletion
  • Delete all data by uninstalling the app

If you use iCloud sync, data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it or disable sync.

Because we do not operate a backend account system or store your records on our servers, deletion is controlled from the app, your device, and your iCloud settings.

Children's Privacy

Baby Tracker & Newborn Log is designed for adult parents and caregivers to track information about children in their care. The app is not intended for direct use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data stored in the app
  • Export your data (PDF or CSV)
  • Delete any or all of your data
  • Disable iCloud sync at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email if you've provided one.
