How can we help?

Quick answers for Baby Tracker Pro & Newborn Log 2.2 on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Can’t find what you need? Email us and the developer will get back to you.

Getting started

How is the app organized?

There are five tabs: Today (what’s happening now, plus Quick Log), Timeline (every entry, day by day), Trends (charts and Insights), Journal (growth, milestones, photos, medicine and appointments) and Settings.

How do I add my baby, or a second baby?

You add your first baby during setup. To add another, open the baby profiles section in Settings and add a new profile. Each baby has their own logs, and you can switch between babies from the Today screen.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There’s no sign-up, email or password. iCloud sync uses the Apple ID that’s already on your device.

Logging

How do I log a feed?

On Today, tap Feed in Quick Log and choose Breast, Bottle or Solids. For breastfeeding, start the timer on the left or right side and switch as you go; the app remembers which side to offer next. For a bottle, choose breast milk or formula and enter the amount. For solids, add the food and any reaction.

How do I log a diaper in one tap?

Use the one-tap diaper buttons on the Today screen (wet, dirty or both). The change is saved straight away, and Undo appears in case you tapped the wrong one. Open the full diaper form to add a stool color or a note.

How do I log pumping and track my milk stash?

Tap Pump in Quick Log. Time the session or enter the amounts for each side, and add any milk you store to your stash so you can see how much you have saved.

How do I edit or delete an entry?

Tap the entry on Today or in Timeline, then choose Edit or Delete.

Can I add something I forgot to log?

Yes. Each log form lets you set the time (and duration, for feeds and sleep) yourself, so you can add a feed or a nap after the fact.

Do timers keep running if I close the app?

Yes. A running timer keeps counting when the app is closed and shows as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where you can stop it or switch breastfeeding sides.

Sleep & reminders

What are wake windows?

A wake window is how long babies of a given age are typically awake between sleeps. The app shows how long your baby has been awake and when the next nap window is likely to open, based on their age. It’s general guidance, not medical advice, so follow your baby’s cues.

How do I turn on reminders?

Go to Settings → Notifications to turn on feeding, diaper and nap-window reminders and choose how long after the last log they should arrive. Medicine and appointment reminders are set on each medicine or appointment. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device, so make sure notifications are allowed for Baby Tracker in iOS Settings → Notifications.

What is Night mode?

Night mode is a warm, dim look for middle-of-the-night logging. Set it to On, Off or Scheduled (9 pm to 6 am) in Settings → Appearance. That’s also where you choose the light or dark theme and the Twilight or Classic app icon.

Health & growth

What do the growth percentiles mean?

Percentiles compare your baby’s weight, length and head circumference with the WHO Child Growth Standards for babies of the same age and sex. For example, the 75th percentile for weight means 75 out of 100 babies of that age and sex weigh less. One number isn’t good or bad on its own; the trend over time matters most, and your pediatrician is the right person to interpret it.

How do I track medicine and vitamins?

Open Journal → Medicine, add the medicine, dose and schedule, and turn on reminders. Log each dose as you give it to keep a history.

How do I add a doctor’s appointment?

Open Journal → Appointments, add the date and type of visit, and turn on a reminder. Add questions for the doctor as you think of them so they’re ready at the visit.

Where are milestones and photos?

Both live in the Journal tab. Record a milestone with a photo and share it as a card, or add photos with a caption to the photo journal.

Sync & devices

How does iCloud sync work?

Sync is on by default and uses your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). Every iPhone and iPad signed in to the same Apple ID stays in step, and the Apple Watch app sends its logs through your iPhone. You can turn sync off in Settings → iCloud Sync.

My data isn’t syncing. What should I check?

Work through these on each device:

  • Every device is signed in to the same Apple ID (iOS Settings → your name).
  • iCloud, including iCloud Drive, is turned on in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud, and there’s free iCloud storage.
  • iCloud Sync is on in the app, in Settings → iCloud Sync.
  • Both devices are online (Wi-Fi or mobile data) and Low Data Mode isn’t blocking background updates.
  • Open the app on both devices and give it a minute. Sync runs in the background.

Still stuck? Turn iCloud Sync off and on again in the app, then contact us.

Can my partner use the app with me?

Today, sync works across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. Sharing with a partner or caregiver who uses a different Apple ID is on the roadmap. Email support@duttlabs.app to join the beta.

How do I use the Apple Watch app?

Install it from the Watch app on your iPhone (My Watch → Available Apps). Tap Feed, Diaper or Sleep on the watch for a quick log. Logs are sent to your iPhone; if it’s out of reach, the watch keeps them and delivers them when your iPhone is reachable again.

How do I use Siri and Shortcuts?

Say “Log a diaper in Baby Tracker”, “Start a feeding timer in Baby Tracker”, “Start sleep in Baby Tracker” or “Stop sleep in Baby Tracker”. You can also ask “When did the baby last eat in Baby Tracker”. Every action is also in the Shortcuts app, where you can add it to your Home Screen or run it from an automation. Siri requests are processed by Apple.

How do I add widgets and Live Activities?

For the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area, tap Edit or the + button, then add a Baby Tracker widget. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, tap Customize, choose Lock Screen, then tap the widget area to add one. Live Activities appear when you start a timer; if you don’t see them, check that Live Activities are allowed in iOS Settings → Baby Tracker.

Does it work on a Mac?

The iPad app runs on Mac computers with Apple silicon; look for it in the App Store on your Mac. There’s no separate Mac app.

Export

How do I export my data or make a Pediatrician Visit Summary?

Go to Settings → Export & Reports. Create a Pediatrician Visit Summary (a PDF of recent feeds, sleep, diapers and growth, with your questions) or export your logs as CSV, then share or save the file. Files are only created when you export them.

Can I still export if my subscription ends?

Yes. If your access lapses, your history stays viewable and exportable, read-only, until you renew.

Subscriptions & purchases

What do I get with a plan?

Everything. There’s no feature tier: monthly, yearly and lifetime all unlock the whole app on all your devices, and every plan includes Family Sharing.

How does the free trial work?

Eligible Apple IDs get 7 days free on the monthly or yearly plan. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Baby Tracker Pro & Newborn Log and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current period.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you bought with, then go to Settings → Premium → Restore Purchases.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Troubleshooting

The app crashed or froze. What should I do?
  • Update to the latest version from the App Store.
  • Close the app from the App Switcher and open it again.
  • Restart your device.

If it keeps happening, email us with your device model, iOS version and what you were doing when it happened.

Reminders aren’t arriving
  • Allow notifications for Baby Tracker in iOS Settings → Notifications.
  • Check that a Focus mode isn’t silencing them.
  • Make sure the reminder is turned on in the app’s Settings → Notifications, or on the medicine or appointment itself.
I deleted the app. Can I get my data back?

If iCloud Sync was on, reinstall the app on a device signed in to the same Apple ID and your data downloads from iCloud. If sync was off, data that was only on the device can’t be recovered.
