Summary
- Your license to use the app comes from Apple’s Standard EULA; these terms add to it.
- The app is free to download. After a 7-day free trial (for eligible Apple IDs) it needs a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in iOS Settings. Apple handles billing and refunds.
- The app offers general guidance, not medical advice.
1. Apple’s Standard EULA
Your license to use the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). These Terms of Use supplement the Standard EULA. If anything in these terms conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies.
These terms are between you and DuttLabs, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of the Standard EULA as described there.
2. Who we are
Baby Tracker Pro & Newborn Log (“the app”) is made by DuttLabs, an independent studio run by Dr. Shankar Dutt (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
3. The app
The app helps parents and caregivers record and review their baby’s feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth, milestones, medicines, appointments and photos on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It’s intended for adults and for personal, non-commercial use. There’s no account: the app works with the Apple ID on your device, and you’re responsible for keeping your devices and Apple ID secure.
We improve the app over time, so features may be added, changed or removed. We aim to keep your existing data readable and exportable when that happens.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Plans
The app is free to download, but full use requires one of the following after the free trial. US reference prices are shown; the App Store shows the price, currency and any taxes for your country before you buy.
- Monthly ($2.99 per month) and Yearly ($29.99 per year): auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Lifetime ($39.99 once): a one-time, non-renewing purchase that unlocks the app’s features for as long as the app is offered, with no further charges.
Free trial
Eligible Apple IDs get a 7-day free trial on the subscriptions. Apple decides eligibility. The subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial. If you buy a subscription or lifetime access during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
Billing and automatic renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If a subscription price changes, Apple will tell you beforehand and, where required, ask for your consent.
Managing and cancelling
Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or in the App Store app under your account). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, so we can’t issue refunds ourselves. You can request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple’s policies apply.
Family Sharing
Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime all support Family Sharing, so members of your Family Sharing group can use the app under Apple’s Family Sharing rules. You can stop sharing a purchase in your Family Sharing settings.
Restoring and lapsed access
You can restore purchases on your devices from Settings → Premium → Restore Purchases, using the same Apple ID. If your access ends, the data you’ve already logged stays on your device and remains viewable and exportable (read-only) until you renew; adding or editing entries needs an active plan.
5. Your data
You own everything you enter in the app. It’s stored on your devices and, when iCloud sync is on (the default), in your private iCloud. We don’t receive it; see the Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your own copies. iCloud sync and the PDF/CSV export help with that.
6. Medical disclaimer
The app is a tracking tool, not a medical device, and it doesn’t give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Growth percentiles, wake windows, insights, the stool color guide and reminders are general guidance only.
- Always talk to your pediatrician or another qualified health professional about your baby’s health, feeding, sleep and medicines.
- Don’t rely on reminders for anything critical. Notifications can be delayed or silenced by device settings, Focus modes, low battery or an iOS update.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
7. Acceptable use
Please use the app lawfully and only to record information you’re entitled to record. Don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction, and don’t interfere with its security features.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its name, icons, design and content belong to DuttLabs or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not use our name or icons in a way that suggests we endorse you. Press may use the materials in our press kit to write about the app.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that calculations, charts and reminders will always be accurate or on time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DuttLabs isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be excluded, or any liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; cancel any subscription separately as described above. Your license under the Standard EULA ends automatically if you don’t comply with it or with these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. We’ll post the new version here and update the effective date, and point out important changes in the app’s release notes. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply to you, to the extent the law allows.
